The trail was easy to follow, not overgrown. The wind was very strong and made the 50’s temperature feel much colder, specially at the summit. I felt very tired on the way up. I was not sure if I could summit on my first try. Even less when the ranger told me that if 3:45 pm came around, it was best to turn back to avoid hiking in the dark. Since I am slow, I feared I could not make the safe cut out time. But I did it!!! I reached the summit at 2:00 pm.
