This one was both an afternoon and a night hike – again due to a late start. For this one, I started from the Marion Mountain Trail. The weather was sunny. The water was flowing on the several streams crossing the trail. I got to the summit late afternoon and for a few minutes had it all to myself. After taking pictures and resting for a few minutes I backtracked to the hut where I signed the register. Then I started heading down. Daylight ended and I was still on the trail but by that time I had made my way down past the manzanita and was heading on the trail down. I got back to my car about half an hour before midnight. I was tired.
