From sun-up to sun-down, San Jacinto was our hiking crown! This hike although long AF, was not particularly difficult. It was a more gradual climb and scenic. I loved the amount of shade on this whole hike and the beautiful views of the mountain from different vantage points. Holy crap though! The last 7 miles were brutal! I was feeling it for sure. We were out there so long, each step was like, “is it over yet?” Haha. We made it back to the car right at sunset. I’m so glad we booked an air-b-n-b 3 minutes from the trailhead so we could crash as soon as we were done. Having to drive the 2 hours there and back would have been a nightmare. Haha. Such a satisfying end to this challenge.
