Mount Marion is the steepest trail I have taken to San Jacinto, definitely steeper than the tram, Devils Slide/Humber Park, and Deer Springs. Going up wasn’t bad for me, but my uncle started to slow down a lot in the 1.5 miles after Little Round Valley, likely due to the elevation, but we made it. We had the summit all to ourselves, likely because the tram was closed.

Going down, the last 2.5 miles down the Marion Mountain trail was steep and felt like an eternity with one steep section after another. And yet I saw someone do it in flip flops.
