My first time summitiny San Jacinto Peak for 2018 was amazing. I was joined by the amazing Meredith Crane. The weather was perfect! Which is why we went on a Sunday, because Saturday was cold and windy. The trail itself was good with very little snow remaining. We were able to hike without the use of microspikes, although we did have them. Coming down we were able to side step any remaining snow. Below Little Round Valley there really wasn’t much snow left at all. The peak itself was great. Lots of people up there coming from the Tram. Not so many folks coming from Deer Springs.
