Man, San Jacinto was crowded today. There was a line to park at the tramway, a line to buy tickets, a line to get a permit and a line to take photos at the top (so I just took my own without the sign). Oh and a looong wait to take the tram down (over an hour). I only mention all this so that if you decide to go on an unexpectedly busy day, you’ll know what to keep in mind. The hike was lovely even though the trail was pretty trafficy. I did Cucamonga Peak just the other day so I was pleased with my progress to be able to jump into another peak and to do one at higher elevation. The top is tricky, it’s a scramble but rewarding once you’re there. This was peak number 5 for me, 1 more to go and then I try my best on Mt. Whitney on October 12th!
