I did it! I completed all 12 Socal peaks! I saved the best for last, the highest peak in SoCal. The weather was perfect, not too hot and not too cold, other than it was very windy at the peak. We took a few shortcuts which shortened our hike to 16 miles. Overall, this hike was not as challenging as I thought. It was just a long hike but the steepness was not too bad. The first mile after crossing Mill Creek to Vivian Creek Camp was steep and the shortcut was steep but doable. I heard the last 2 miles were steep but I didn’t feel that way. I just moved very slow due to being tired and wanted to make sure I didn’t get AMS. This is the perfect hike in Socal to train for Mt Whitney!
