Great hike on the 123 Challenge. Hit up Pinos, Sawmill, n Grouse. Was not very taxing, but being at elevation was a bit of a challenge. Just under 11 miles, with backtracking and finding the actual sign. This was my first time on this trail and even though it was easy to find the peaks, it was a challenge to stay with the trail to get there. At the last peak, Grouse, we had to search for it. Its obvious once you see the peak, sign, pile of sticks/rocks. There was a little snow, but all was passable.
Hardly any people and I found the serenity pretty nice. Each peak was easy to see, even with the tree cover, which made it pretty simple to find the peak and sign, even going off trail. Would likely be a great solid hike in the summer, getting away from excessive heat and the Socal crowds.
