Mt. Baldy on a Thursday morning. The sky was a gorgeous blue. You could see the clouds covering SoCal but they didn't dare cross into the high desert. Tiny patches of snow here and there. I came up the backbone and went down the bowl. In hindsight I wish I had done that in the reverse order. Would have been easier on the joints in my opinion. Started at 7:10am from Manker flats, on the summit at 9:45, spent some time talking to some really cool hikers at the top, and back to my car at 12:30. Made it to Twisted Sage in time for the greatest pulled pork eggs benedict on the planet. Here's to June, July and August. The three best reasons to be a teacher!
