We started in clouds on an overcast day and by the time we were finished, it was sunny and hot. The hike would have been much tougher in the sun the whole way. The lot was open and there were spaces, even though we arrived after 10:00. Not a lot of traffic on the trails which was good because it is very narrow at points. The trail is well signed so it is impossible to get lost. The scramble to the top was challenging but the views were worth it.
