What an amazing day to hike Sitton Peak! Clear blue skies and not too warm. Though it was windy, the brush along the trails shielded us most of the way.

The trails are well maintained and well marked. We started at the Bear Canyon Trailhead and followed it up to Four Corners, then hung a sharp right onto Sitton Peak Trail. We almost missed the Sitton Peak Access Trail and were surprised by the 0.36 mile steep up to come! Trekking poles are highly recommended here. Some scrambling here and there, but mostly just a quick jaunt in the upward direction filled with rocks and gravel. The trail was quite modest up to this point but well worth the trek for the incredible views at the summit. We meant to take the Bear Ridge Trail back down at Four Corners and forgot, but I've heard this little loop is worth the extra ~0.5 mile. With plenty of lollygagging, this hike took us roughly 4.5 hours.

On the way out, we stopped at the Lookout Roadhouse for a late lunch. I HIGHLY recommend the stop! The food was excellent, the service was excellent, and the views were unmatched. A hefty plate of meat, potatoes, and eggs was the perfect end to this wonderful hike.
