Tough hike. Stinson is quite crowded on the weekends but there was parking at the beach parking lot. The weather was actually perfect, cloudy day so not too much sun and was able to stay cool but not cold. Also, due to the cloudy skies, there weren't as many people at the peak.
Total hike took 7.5 hours. Very beautiful especially once you start climbing the mountain proper (from bootjack onward it starts to get that typical tam feel). The beginning of Matt Davis is a lot of switchbacks. Fern Creek was surprisingly steep but nothing too bad. Also, very beautiful part of the trail.
