Between moving and a few other life issues I had not been hiking over the past couple of months so I wanted an easier hike to get back into it. Got up early and arrived at the Redbox trailhead with only a few other cars present. The hike up was easy until getting to the hill climb to the top. Ended up taking my time to reach the peak. Lizards where everywhere but no other wildlife was evident. A couple at the peak where kind enough to take a photo for me and I regret not offering to do the same for them. Not sure why it slipped my mind at the time. I headed down passing a couple of small groups on the way up, as I neared the trailhead I rounded a corner and came upon a sight I haven’t seen on a hike in many years. A young couple were surprised in the middle of enjoying each other. A gasp by one and an awkward shuffling of the other and I passed by. Odd that they were smack dab in the middle of the trail. Don’t think they expected to run into anyone else. Ah, to be young again. Otherwise an uneventful but beautiful hike on a gorgeous day.
