Wonderful day for a Southern California hike in the San Diego grasslands…with a bright, sunny sky, new grass just starting to poke above the winter growth, bees buzzing on the manzanitas, turkey vultures riding the thermals, a brisk breeze at the top, and a lovely view to top it off. What more could you ask for?
Maybe just a fantastic group of new hiking buddies to enjoy the day with. Plus another fun team to tag-team to the top, doing their first hike of the 6-Peak challenge.
