Finished off the hiking season with the big mountain ❤️ took a family member from out on state to check out the Supes. Worked our way up to Flat Iron starting at 5am as it's warm weather now, went prepared with plenty of water electrolytes and snacks, got through the trail rocks slick rock at the draw and big boulders to scramble, made it up the mountain with full shade, it was a beautiful morning. Saw some cool lizards, no snakes or cats. Worth taking a few minutes to explore the backside of the peak too. Coming down was almost harder as we were tired from the hike up and trying to navigating climbing down the boulders and slipping down the rocks. Overall a big achievement!!
