Started the hike just before 8am with temperatures in the high 30s. The air was crisp, even spots along the trail with frosted leaves. Cruised pretty smoothly along until the last little trek upwards that gave a nice thigh and hip burn. (Trekking poles would’ve been helpful on the way down if I hadn’t misplaced mine). Trails were in pretty good shape considering recent rainfall; only a few patches of mud. The markers were fairly easy to find. Pretty crowded at the top, considering the lack of space at the peak marker, but waiting a bit for folks to leave to enjoy a little more P & Q was definitely worth it. Fairly clear skies with a pleasant 360 view capturing several snow capped peaks in SoCal (Gorgonio, San Jacinto) as well as the ocean with some of the Channel Islands peering through a low haze. All in all, just over 4 hours of active hiking time round trip. Would definitely do this again.
