We started the hike at 8:30am and finished in a little under 5 hours. Although it was a cooler day temperature-wise, the sun was out, it felt very warm, and we drank a lot more water than I would have expected for this length of hike and the weather forecast. There were beautiful flowers, butterflies, and lizards, and there were a few small stream crossings. The first part of the hike offered some shade, but the second part to the peak had little to no shade, and the very last section was steep and required a bit of bush whacking and rock scrambling. We intended to have lunch at the peak, but the persistently curious bees up there chased us away. I sat at the peak for a quick picture, and I sat again when my feet slid out from under me on the way back down. Overall, it was a beautiful hike with ample trailhead parking and good signage.
