First peak of the year in the books! If you do this hike on a weekend, I recommend getting on the trail no later than 7am. I encountered a few people on the way up, but scores of people on the way down and back to the car. This is a pretty easy hike, the only tough park is the last quarter mile or so up the side of the mountain to get to the peak. Other than that, beautiful views at the top and a perfect way to start the weekend. Round-trip took me 3 and a half hours.
