Wedding anniversary hike and start of our six-pack. Parking was tight even in the early morning. Restrooms at the trailhead parking area were closed. Majority of hike was shaded and easy-nice stroll among oaks and flowers. Last .25 miles or so were very steep/a scramble with little shade. Definitely recommend hiking  poles for the descent and starting early to avoid the heat on the exposed section. Peak was crowded with several large, loud groups. We hiked a bit past the peak and had a nice picnic while we waited for the crowd to thin. Excited about starting the six-pack but hoping the other peaks are not inundated with large groups pursing the challenge but not observing LNT principles.
