The hike was fairly easy compared to my last one to Strawberry Peak. There was a lot of scat directly on the trail path- if you don't step in the scat then count yourself lucky! It got pretty warm towards the afternoon. Half of the time the trail was partly shaded and crowded in with brush. There were parts that were pretty sandy with smaller rocks/ pebbles that made the descent more challenging- it was easier with the use of trekking poles.
