Hiked on 3/28/21. 9.8 miles, 2,106 ft. elevation gain. Hike took 4:24. Definitely one of the easier hikes on this list, with a very gradual slope until the final 0.3 miles, which are a steep shot uphill. It’s a pretty area of Orange County, with an interesting scenic drive to get to the trailhead, and I would definitely recommend a stop at the candy store by the trailhead after the hike! This one can get hot in the summer, and is pretty exposed throughout, so would bring plenty of sunscreen. I made part of this hike into a loop, doing the Bear Ridge Trail on the way out, and the Bear Canyon Trail on the way back. Views were slightly better on the Ridge Trail, but I enjoyed the more forested Canyon Trail as well.
