Trail was in great condition, and a mostly easy climb until the last .36 miles. All turns were well marked with small white signs. Not a lot of shade, and temperature definitely varied. I felt safe doing this hike by myself – AllTrails download was 100% accurate, and I had cell phone reception sparsely.

Adventure parking pass required. Double-check that Ortega will be open before you head out!!
