Great hike overall.  We encountered a little bit of mud, but overall the trail has dried out.  There are lots of ruts in the middle of the trail from the rain.  The last half mile to the top of the peak is very steep and there is elevation on the way out so trail was hard.  On the way up you are actually going downhill a lot so it seemed way too easy initially.  It fooled me…..not so easy going out in the hot sun.  There isn't much shade on this trail so come prepared with sunscreen.   This was our first peak of the challenge since everything else still has lots of snow on it.
