Overall a nice trail with good views. It’s starting to get a little overgrown so that pants are probably preferable to shorts. I got an early start and was able to watch the sun rise over the hills. The gnats started coming out around 7:30 and were pretty heavy in certain spots on the way back down. If you’re not moving quick to get through them you might want a head net. Without a head net just make sure you breathe through your nose unless you want to add some protein to your diet. The incline is pretty mild until the last half mile when it’s nice to have trekking poles.
