First of the 2023 Six Pack of Peaks for me and it was a reasonable one. It is a bit long at around 10 miles out and back with about 1800+ ft of elevation gain. It was somewhat crowded on a nice Sunday morning. We parked on the side of the street across from the candy shop but then realized the actual parking lot is in the back. Not shaded most of the way. Gentle up and down slope without any serious challenge until the last 0.36 miles as other reviewers have also said. As a matter of fact there is a mile market sign which even though does not say it, but is an indication that the challenge is about to begin. Quire doable, just expect it. The summit is underwhelming. There is a small area with lots of boulders and a bunch of people. Good views if you look in the right direction. I had to sit and have a cup of tea looking into some bushes–the only space left! Enjoyed it and I do recommend this trail as a start to the 6-pack if you are doing that, or just for the heck of it. Why not? It is there! 🙂
