This was my first peak ever, I was so nervous at first but I went with a group of wonderful women that made all the difference. The views were amazing, the weather was perfect, fresh breeze, no bugs! Perfect day with awesome people. We started the hike around 8:30 am and finished around 2:40 pm. The last mile to the peak was very steep, climbed a couple of rocks but not so bad, very doable. The way back down from the peak was a little slippery, after that mile down it gets easy from there. I drank 64 oz of water. The candy store was closed, we were looking forward to stopping there after the hike for a reward but maybe after the pandemic? Lol the trail was in good condition. Moderate to light traffic but there was a lot of people at the peak, a little crowded, waiting to take photos. Everybody on the trail was great though, very friendly and rooting each other on. It was a really great day.
