In 2019 as a statement hike on Jan 1 I hiked ‘nearby' Sitton Peak to demonstrate my enthusiasm for the Six Peak Challenge is was great! 2019 I managed to put 7 peaks on the board, I could have done more of course but there are always things tugging on time. Here in 2020 – I had a loose goal of one hike a month that by definition would get me 12 hikes and with the new San Diego hikes seemed doable. Well right away I put that in Jeopardy –  we went to London the first part of January and playing catch up, other – on Jan 30 I had no hikes in!! Well Sitton is a beautiful hike…nearby…so January 31 I made the climb and kept hope alive for one a month. I did get a Feb hike in (today is May 15th) – but March and and April I lost out to the COVID – 19 choosing to keep close to home, never knowing what hikes were open etc etc. Earlier this week I got El Cajon Mountain in and I hope to keep hiking in 2020 and maximizing hiking. My June vacation to Dubai and the Maldives were cancled by the airlines are also victims of COVID – 19 so I have that time back to hike….
