Beautiful trail full of scenic views, thick foliage, and mature trees. Some deep ruts at the top due to water runoff but very passable. The last 1/3 mile is steeper than the rest that brings you to a stunning peak with a view including the ocean. Encountered only a handful of fellow hikers as the much needed rain in the area may have deterred some. Managed to choose the perfect window with only a few little sprinkles and the trail was mostly just damp with only one tiny puddle. We did watch our footing during the last 1/3 mile and used our poles for safety as the ground was slick in a few spots. The sun was peaking through at times showing us the bright blue color of the sky with luscious puffy clouds. The trail itself was mostly open with a few narrow sections due to the thick brush. Two thumbs up from me!
