Coming from LA, it was a long way to go for a quick and easy hike, but I didn't miss the crowds of the better-known peaks. The final approach gets steep and loose, so sticks come in handy then. I got back to the car covered in a layer of pollen from the overgrown flora–surprised I wasn't covered by a swarm of bees, too!
