The trail was nice, difficult for the first few miles and then it settled down to a more moderate level. There was decent shade along the trail at this time of year but other areas were very exposed. Unfortunately the trees and shade came with swarms of bugs, but I guess you can't have everything. The bugs weren't biting, but they were a nuisance. The peak had nice views and a couple of picnic tables to take a break at. Fall colors are just around the corner, i saw a few trees that had already turned but give it another week or two to cool off more and itll be gorgeous. Today it was hot by the time I got back to my car but with an early start, temperatures were pleasant for most of the hike.
