Intermittent snow – not hard to cross

The previous day I had a snow hike at Mount Baden-Powell. Today, November 12, I planned to hike Santiago Peak as I didn't want to do two consecutive snow hikes on the same week and I wanted to do a snow-free hike. The gate to Santiago Peak was closed so I went to Plan B: Strawberry Peak.   This peak was more or less snow free other than a few patches of snow I saw on the trail but it was possible to avoid them and no spikes were needed. This one was an afternoon hike but I made it up to the summit and back in daylight although I arrived at my car at sunset.
