Great hike! Started early in the morning and it was cold! All the layers were on, but once I started moving, most came off. The trail was in great condition and the hike is pretty easy…until the last 1/4 mile. Then the climb starts. I've done this hike before, so I knew where the ruts were, where the loose dirt is, etc.. Going up was fine and we spent a good half hour at the top. The peak was busy, but we did have about 5 minutes of solitude when we first reached the peak.

The hike down…oh boy. Now, I can lean on the clumsy side and yes..I ate it. Well, it was more like a graceful slide on my ass. My hiking mates laughed of course-but I was fine. Some of my hike mates had less than ample tread, and they were slipping and sliding all over the place.

All in all-a great day.
