Slushy spring snow above the ski hut. No ice. Microspikes worked the whole way. Tracks were visible. I used others' foot steps on the ascend to avoid postholing. The soft snow would give way under your feet on the descend. Did some glissading. An ice axe would help. Windy and cool at top. Too warm at lower elevations.
