Spring is when my hiking kicks into gear (winter is when I am snowboarding and trail running). Luckily we had extremely pleasant weather for this low elevation peak. And it was well worth it – absolutely gorgeous hike! Beautiful greenery everywhere, all manner of wildflowers and yuccas blooming, fantastic views, and an overall nice gentle hike. The last quarter mile is steep – but its more of a fun climb rather than an arduous scramble. The trail is laid out quite nicely. Most definitely will be making time for this a bit earlier in spring next year, and an excellent kick off for spring/summer hiking!
