I completed this hike in early May; just now getting around to posting it. – Trail conditions were great. The sky was brilliant blue, with bright sunshine. Unfortunately there were some prescribed burns in the area, so the view to the southeast was hazy. The trail was in great condition, dry and no damaged areas. I began hiking at 7:45am and arrived at the summit (END of trail sign) in just under 2 hours. Temperatures were cool going uphill, with a decent amount of shade from trees and rock cliffs. Heading down, there was far less shade and temperatures were significantly warmer. – Moral to this story: Start early during the hot months of the year. Being the month of May, there were many wildflowers in bloom, including hedgehog cactus. I returned to the parking lot around 11:30am, completing the hike in a little less than 4 hours.
