What an adventure! We hiked Mt. Baldy’s Ski Hut Trail…11.8 miles and 28,044 steps…a lot of technical climbing due to all the snow…the trails were buried…we summited at 10,064 feet elevation! It was beautiful, on my bucket list to complete, part of our six pack of peaks challenge, and I wanted to experience actual mountaineering with my husband for the first time! We went with our friends Danny and Camille…the snow and views were gorgeous…I was so thankful to my husband Adam for properly preparing us for the adventure…clothing including shell pants, Gaiters, amazing hiking shoes, hiking poles, down jackets, wool liners, gloves, micro spikes, cramp-ons, etc! The summit was windy which is to be expected! There were definitely times I wanted to give up and I was so tired of slipping in the snow, but it was all worth it in the end!
