Started hiking about 6:00 a.m. with a headlamp. Caught a beautiful sunrise. Clear day with breathtaking views of desert and other mountains. Recent snow meant blazing a new trail. New Microspikes got broken in and worked well. Felt invigorated and ready to make 2019 a year of challenging peaks, even in the snow, a feat that I never thought I would attempt!
