Sorry, slow to start logging. Â Did this hike in February and it was an amazing snowy day! Â Made for some very special and beautiful views along the hike up. Â We started down at Jacques Ridge to make for a longer hike with about 25oo feet of ascent – snow level started about 600 feet below the summit. Â Others, that were not doing the Six-Pack, joined us from the Bald Mountain Parking.
Felt slightly deprived because the old Radar Building area is currently closed for toxics and that closes the nice summit route with the beautiful stone steps – hoping that will re-open soon.
Mt. Umunhum is a really great and moderate hike (from Bald Mountain).  The new trail to the summit was designed with a gentle grade that makes it a real joy.  So much history on that  mountain, too.  Then you get the 360 degree views from the top as another bonus.
