Hike started off with some rain, which we found out early my jacket was not in fact water proof! After borrowing a rain jacket (sorry Naaman) we continued on to see if I could make it in the cold. Then! It started snowing! And it was snowing good for a while right up until we reached the campground. From there, we were able to reach the summit (slowly but surely for me) right before a mini snow storm hit. Complete with thunder even, it forced us to huddle underneath the small over hanging of the visitor center, which was closed, and wait for it to pass. After about 5 minutes or so, and seeing some blue sky even, we took the opportunity to hike back down. Lessons learned: get proper water proof gear!! Was a memorable last hike to complete the challenge 🙂
