Beautiful hike. I underestimated the snow level. Still very snowy there that caused a lot of post-holing and made it hard to keep track of trail. Up top there was 35 mile per hour winds. This hike would have been easier without all the snow. But it so worth it once you get to the peak and have the breathtaking panoramic view. I feel fantastic and accomplished.

  1. do you think microspikes are still required? I am thinking about doing this hike soon, thanks and congrats on your accomplishment!

    1. Whether you wear micro spikes or not you’ll definitely sink into the snow. Post-holing is inevitable due to it softening.
