Beautiful, clear day, with very little wind. Started at 0700, hit the summit at 1330 or so. Beautiful views, but no ocean today :/ The first leg of the trail was gorgeous streams , trees, grassy hills, etc. Second leg is mostly scratchy, dry brush, pretty overgrown at places, so long sleeves recommended. Once you get over 9k feet, snow becomes prevalent, although you can find exposed ridge line until about 9400 or so. Crampons and axe are compulsory. Steep runouts abound, with snow getting soft and slippery in the afternoon.
