I successfully finished freehike #4 (naked hike) of this year’s challenge. I started super early to beat the other hikers. I had the trail to myself, lighted by the city lights for the first half hour until the early morning first light. I was near the top before the sun hit me. The nasty bugs and biting flies didn’t become a problem until near the top. I enjoyed a break and sandwich at Cosmic Café (see photo). In addition to supporting Big City Mountaineers, this is good training for World Naked Hiking Day which is less than 2 weeks away.
