Small chance of rain but we took our chances! It was pretty gloomy outside and a little chilly at base (42 degrees). Once we got to the top, it dropped maybe to 38. There wasn’t many people, maybe less than 10 people on the trail . We were a little worried this side of the mountain would be closed off due to Covid-19 but thankfully it wasn’t. The trail itself is pretty well marked, there was just one part where we did take a wrong turn in to some over grown spikey bushes and when we got to the top we realized it was a dead end. Other than that, the trails are open and shade free. If it was a hot and sunny day this hike would be pretty miserable. It took us about 4.5 hours to get through the whole hike with a 30min detour, and a 10 min lunch at the top. The coolest part about our hike had to be when we reached the top , we were in the clouds and light snow was drizzling. I wish we could’ve stayed a little longer but it was just so dang cold up top, my hands were frozen.
