Light cloud cover helped with keeping the heat at bay. On the way up I had the trail to myself. I took a long rest at the top, roughly an hour. On the trail I saw mountain lion scat, two separate groups of California quails, a flock of turkeys and a rattle snake on the trail yards from the parking lot on the return around 11:40 AM.
