Late start (4pm) due to holiday traffic made me hike faster than normal. Used Alltrails to track progress, but about 0.5 mile from summit, the trail can be hard to follow. I got lost for a few minutes but if you look for the trail to your left, you will find the main trail. I went right and it deadends. Saw a large group, a couple and 2 solo hikers descending on my way up. No one at the summit when I arrived. Beautiful view. On way back, I believe a mountain lion was tracking me as I kept hearing a loud chirping sound following me at a close distance… a bit unnerving but it could have been a bird, too. Lol.
