We made it to the trail head a little after 8:00 am to a clear sunny morning.  We began our hike around 8:30.  I had a hard time keeping up with training and working out the last couple of weeks before the hike, and I noticed it about a mile into the hike.  My body took a little while to warm up and adjust to the hike.  For the most part, the hike was very mellow, it felt longer than it was. Once we were half way to the peak my energy came back, and was able to power my way up the last steep part of the trail.  The view at the peak was a nice as you could look around a complete 360 degrees, and see green hills all around.  We spent about an hour hanging out at the peak, eating, and having a few beer, and of course taking pictures.  The steep portion on the way down was a little slippery but not bad, once we got out to the flatter trail, the rest of the hike was just as mellow as the beginning.  Most of the group got back to the trial head at around 1:00 pm, and hung out for a while to wait for the rest of the team.  This was my first time doing this hike, and first time doing a hike south of the Los Angeles and San Bernardino area, so it was nice to see the difference between the trails and area overall.
