My husband and I hiked Bear Mountain on Sunday, May 12. It was cold and raining steadily as we drove to the trail head and the cold and rain continued as we hiked up. And, as we neared the peak, the rain turned into a steady snowfall! Due to the weather conditions, we thought we might not run into any other hikers, but we did indeed see three other brave souls on the trail that day. We got to the bottom of the trail at the end of the hike and our hands were so cold we had a hard time removing our boots!  Despite the conditions, it was a great day and a great hike. We are looking forward to the next one, hopefully in warmer weather!
