My second time up South. Last time I was blessed with snow in the scree and able to use spikes. This time no such luck! Ugh the scree! But the views at the top made up for it as always. A lenticular cloud taunted us all the way up to the glacial lake before the scree. Thankfully it cleared giving us spectacular views at the top. Had the top at the end of the rim to ourselves for 45 minutes. Its so hard deciding to descend. Someday I'll have to take my tent to the top. I have yet to summit when Teardrop Lake is not under snow. Next time!
