First of all, the moraine you will cross is absolutely gorgeous in an otherworldly way. The Mosquitos are incredibly awful though and did it seem to respond to our bug stray or citronella at all. The day we summited it was really smoky from some wildfires so we didn't linger at the summit. The climb on this hike gets technical at times, not recommended for beginners. We climbed pretty well and there was enough snow for us to slide down a bunch. If you have the know how I would definitely recommend sliding at least once. I had no choice the dog started and I had to follow. There are some good spots to sit just before the last push to the summit. Rest there and regain your motivation. The view is great and the alpine plants were starting to flower. It was breezy and I was able to hike in a jacket the whole time without being uncomfortable. I would say probably about 60 degrees. Long pants recommended.
