We began at 6:12am, from Devils Lake Trailhead, wearing headlamps. Temperature was freezing. No wind. Clear skies. As we continued along the open part of the trail, the clouds moved in and the summit was in the clouds. The wind picked up and it was very cold. We pushed on to our goal. When we reached the false summit the clouds were moving quickly through and blue sky appeared! The views at the summit we stunning. We snapped pictures and headed back down. YAY! We accomplished our Central Oregon Six Pack Peak Challenge! Successful Finishers!!!
